Is Jeb Bush Finally Done Mining Teri Schiavo's Demise?
The criminal investigation of Teri Schiavo's death has come up empty.
Will anybody in our so-called liberal media investigate Jeb Bush's exploitation of this issue for political gain? Will anyone ask how much right-wingers like Randall Terry and the Sheldons made off of this tragedy? Will anyone ask how much money came into The Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation at terrisfight.org? To my knowledge, it was never registered as a charity or even a non-profit, so who pocketed all the loot?

According to the Florida Secretary of State's website, THE TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FOUNDATION, INC. was organized as a Florida non-profit corporation on February 8, 2002.
If your point, MacSwain, is that you have not bothered to acquire factual information which might contradict your preconceived notions, your statement is no doubt accurate.

To be a proper charitable organization or nonprofit, it is not enough to simply register with the State as such, you need to provide an annual accounting and other paperwork and the Schindler-Schiavo foundation has not and has even been fined for its failure to do such.
It quickly became clear that they chose not to a charitable organization. But did they also ultimately decide not to be a nonprofit (in which they could've paid themselves nice "salaries," but would be subject to public reporting). We know they had not publicly accounted for the funds as of February 2005. Have they done so since or do you think they quietly chose not to be a nonprofit after all?
So, my question still stands ---anonymous, since your such a smartass, tell us, where did the loot go?

Unlike you, MacSwain, I don't pretend to have all the answers. Those I do give, though, are at least correct.
Now, you say the foundation is not a "proper" non-profit. What does *that* mean? You tell us, one has to file "paperwork," which is not very enlightening. Perhaps you mean that the foundation is not a charity recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code? This would be understandable if, for example, it were engaged in political lobbying.
Simply throwing out vague, unverifiable (indeed incomprehensible) smears used to be called McCarthyism.
PS: Spelling tip. "Your" and "you're" are different words. Example: "You're angry because your error was identified."
