Apparently Dianne Feinstein made a statement yesterday that the available evidence indicates Miers will vote to overturn Roe, signaling, I believe, her opposition to Miers.
It also sounds like the Schumer meeting didn't go well for Miers if she were looking for Democratic votes. As I now see it, Miers is putting all her eggs in one basket --- wooing the hard right conservatives and the Republican majority.

the dems, quiet til now, are out to get her because of pro-life statements during city council run.
question is, will this latest revelation mollify the right wing? If not, HM's nomination could be in serious jeapordy.
Getting squeezed from both sides isn't the way to get confirmed, especially after alienating your own party's committee chairman.
