Did Dirty Dick Authorize the Plame Outing?

The media is starting to cover court papers which suggest Libby is claiming Cheney authorized release of classified info that led to Plame outing.

My question for the media ---- what took you so long to pursue this possibility?

    You're right that the "traditional media" is now covering this angle because of Libby's newly revealed testimony ... but you're missing my point. It's been known long before now that Cheney was a source of Plame's identity to Libby. One possible and reasonable inference from that or, at least, a reasonable question to ask was whether Cheney authorized or was involved in Libby's leak. The media only raises this issue in a meaningful public way once the testimony of another Republican - Libby in this case - directly implicates Cheney.

    You need to only look at yesterday's hit piece being reported all over the media that attempts to link Harry Reid to Abramoff to see that the same deferential standard is not applied to Democrats.

    So there.

  • Silly me, I thought it was the due to the five corporations who are spooning in bed with the administration, controlling 90% of the media. The only time the media gives any credence to this type of story is when it is forced to, and it will probably fade fast.

    Terror alert time!
