You can see the video of Kerry's statement responding to the hateful right who are trying to take a botched joke and turn it into an anti-troop statement that no sane person would understand as having been intended.

How sad and hateful the right has become. We've learned that tons of Iraqi reconstruction money and weapons for Iraqi security forces are ending up in the hands of insurgents and Al Qaeda ... outraged by that? Nope. More than 100 US troops dead in less than a month ... any problem with that? Nope. Afghanistan is going to hell in a .... YAWN!!!

Life and death issues to the troops are meaningless to many of these righties. But when Kerry misspeaks ... you get an en masse woody popage.
